Privacy Policy

Privacy, but without the diplomatic doublespeak.

Dumb War: Missile Mismanagement is a satire game and related website operated by Dumb Games. This page explains what information may be processed when you visit the site, play the game, or contact us for support.

Effective Date: May 10, 2026

Short version: most game progress and settings stay on your device. The mobile app may use app store billing, RevenueCat purchase validation, and Google AdMob ads. On iOS, the app may request Apple App Tracking Transparency permission so ads can be served, personalized where permitted, measured, and protected against fraud.

1. Overview

Dumb War does not currently require a first-party account to visit the site or play the game. Most gameplay state is intended to live on your device unless a platform or third-party service is needed to support billing, ads, purchase validation, support, or related features.

2. Information We May Process

Depending on the platform and feature set, we may process categories of information such as:

  • Gameplay save data, settings, unlock state, and local app preferences
  • Basic website request data such as IP address, browser type, and security logs
  • Purchase, billing, or entitlement information supplied by app store or payment providers
  • Ad-related technical data and identifiers if advertising is enabled in a release
  • Information you choose to send us directly by email or another support channel

We do not intentionally collect your full name, mailing address, or phone number through the website or game unless you choose to send that information to us directly.

3. Information Stored On Your Device

The game may store data locally on your device or browser, including:

  • Save data and current progress
  • Settings and language preferences
  • Unlock status or premium state
  • Other local state required for gameplay

In normal use, that information stays on your device unless you use a platform feature or third-party provider that needs to validate a purchase or deliver another service.

4. Website Visits

The Dumb War website is a static marketing site. Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically receive limited technical data when you visit, such as IP address, request path, browser information, and basic performance or security logs.

We use that kind of information to deliver the site, maintain uptime, and protect the service from abuse or failures.

5. Payments and Platform Stores

If purchases are offered, they may be processed by third-party providers such as:

  • Apple App Store / StoreKit
  • Google Play Billing
  • RevenueCat for purchase validation, entitlement status, and restore flows
  • Stripe Checkout for web purchases or tips when enabled
  • Other payment or entitlement platforms added in future releases

These providers may process transaction-related information, device or app information, customer or purchaser identifiers, product identifiers, receipts, and purchase status needed to complete, validate, restore, or manage purchases.

We do not receive or store full payment card details.

6. Ads, Tracking, and Analytics

The free version of the mobile app may show ads through Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads. AdMob may process data such as device identifiers, advertising identifiers, IP address, app interaction information, diagnostics, and other technical data to serve ads, personalize ads where permitted, measure ad performance, prevent fraud, and maintain ad delivery.

For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, the app may use Google's certified consent management solution through the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK to request and store your advertising consent choices before ads are requested. Depending on your location and the choices shown to you, you may be able to consent to personalized ads, choose non-personalized ads, or decline consent where available. You can change consent choices later through the app's privacy options when they are available.

On iOS, the app may request Apple App Tracking Transparency permission before allowing tracking for personalized advertising or ad measurement. You can allow or deny that request in iOS, and you can change the permission later in iOS Settings.

We do not currently operate a first-party analytics account system inside the game. If we add analytics or additional advertising providers later, we will update this policy and the store privacy disclosures as required.

7. How We Use Information

  • Provide and operate the website and game
  • Store or restore local gameplay state where applicable
  • Process purchases, restore purchases, or validate platform entitlements
  • Respond to support requests
  • Request, store, and honor advertising consent choices where required
  • Maintain stability, security, and functionality

8. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share limited information with trusted service providers only as needed to operate the site or game, including for hosting, billing, purchase validation, advertising, analytics, support, or platform delivery.

9. Retention and Deletion

Because the game does not currently rely on a first-party account system, most local gameplay data can be removed by clearing app or browser storage or by uninstalling the app.

Third-party providers may retain transaction, billing, ad, or log information according to their own legal and operational requirements.

10. Privacy Choices and Regional Rights

Depending on where you live, including if you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or certain U.S. states, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information associated with you, and to object to or restrict certain processing where applicable.

You may withdraw or change advertising consent choices through the app's privacy options when they are available, through your device settings, or by using controls provided by Google and other applicable providers. If you contact us about a privacy request, we may need enough information to verify and handle the request.

11. Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information directly to us, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to address the issue.

12. Changes To This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will post the updated version on this page and update the Effective Date above.
